My question is this: Strategy is great and all but HOW are we going to figure this out??

I sort of doubt that anyone will be like "Hey dont kill me I have to kill tonight!" Well probably not. We could hope for one of those implosions that seem to happening more and more recently in games.

For Day one?? I have seen that happen before, granted those didnt usually end well-- but it has been done. I am not sure it is any better than randomizing.

Standard day one crap, pick off the low posters? Cause i don't imagine anyone is gonna stand up in the thread and yell, "I'm the role checker".

Because this is a different kind of game, I don't see that picking off low posters or even randomizing is a bad strategy, per se, at least for day one.

Yes, especially since, I assume they can take their knowledge with them through a switcheroo, right? Like if the Detective becomes Death, but, no, then the role he discovered switches, too??

I'm not sure it works like that, like what if the person "discoed" isn't switched? Regardless is a Discoist ( nice word, right) is switched, they will retain intimate knowledge of "us."

Everyone's goal is to be the last man standing. The best way for that goal to be accomplished is for as many people who aren't you to die sooner than later as possible. That will not happen if we lynch the damn people with NKs from the get go! It benefits everyone (to a certain point, at which time it turns to kill or be killed) to keep those guys around for a while.

The people we want to lynch are the do-nothings that are just standing in the way of sweet sweet victory.

Linkitis: Yeah, or disco roles. I'm pretty much in favor of lynching anyone who doesn't have a NK and who isn't me.

Good point about the thinning of he herd. Although, the killers can be switched as easily as anyone else, and that makes them that much more "dangerous" from a chaotic pov.....it seems as if some type of "randomness" will always play into the game.

DP for further linkitis...I also am not in favor of lynching the Switcher. Besides being the key to the Immortal's eventual death, I think the Switcher is a cool role. Embrace the chaos, my friends!

As much as I loath Radomizer style play, I feel that some type of random play will have to be employed at some point. first lynch is always a hard one.....however. in this type of game no one player, other than Switchy at this point, cuz we have to be able to kill The Immortal, is of any use to another player.....besides the Lovers<kissysmiley>who can gain BTSC.
